Who we are

ASOMA -Association of Wooden and Aluminum Clad Wood Windows Manufacturers of Spain- was created on the 18th of June, 2009 within FEIM -Federation of Wood Industries of Spain- in 18^th of June, 2009. FEIM includes fourteen associations, in almost all sectors within spanish wood industry. This allows to create synergies between all of them, with the common denominator of wood.

GOALS

The main aim of ASOMA is to join the wooden window manufacturers, as well as to the suppliers of materials and services that intervene in the manufacture, to recover market share opposite other frame materials (Aluminum and Polyvinyl Chloride, PVC). To that end, this association was created in a moment that market needs it, since due to the increasingly demanding requirements by CTE (national regulatory framework in building). This requirements allow that Wooden and Aluminum Clad Wood Windows achieve a privileged position opposite their competition.

ENVIRONMENT

One of the main values of ASOMA is the comminment for the environment. The legality of  the wood used in wooden windows manufacture is assured by the national customs services, as well as all voluntary mechanisms related to Forest Certificaction. So, this wood fulfills the legality, quality and responsability requirements imposed by the law and the society.

On the other hand, the wooden one is the only one product of the family of windows that enclose, in all its life cycle (growth in forest, 1^st and 2^nd transformation, manufacture, installation, use and waste treatment) the carbon cycle. This means the emissions of greenhouse gases (mainly CO₂)in wooden window manufacture process are compensated by the activity of growing trees in forest destinated to wood industry (1 m³ of grouwing wood stores approximately 1 ton of CO₂).
